The Office of International Program Services (OIPS) was created within the Office for Research Development to centralize the services provided to and on behalf of international s and employees working with internationals at Morehouses School of Medicine. OIPS issues papework and processes petitions to facilitate the invitation and employment of foreign nationals (including students) at MSM; all administrators working with internationals at MSM who have any questions on matters pertaining to internationals should inquire initially with OIPS. OIPS also retains records on internationals in accordance with regulatory requirements of the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the Department of Labor, and serves as a liaison with these agencies. OIPS also offers immigration advising services to internationals during their tenure at Morehouse School of Medicine. In addition, OIPS currently provides orientation sessions for incoming internationals, and sponsors a variety of cross-cultural programs throughout the year to help internationals adjust to their new living situations. |
