Leonard M. Anderson, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Leonard M. Anderson Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Research Institute. He is also co-director of the Functional Genomics Core Facility, one of the core facilities of the Research Center for Minority Institutions (RCMI) network. Dr. Anderson earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University (1993), and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in molecular genetics from Northwestern Medical School (1999). After graduate studies, Dr. Anderson then completed a 4-year research fellowship in cardiovascular genomics at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the laboratory of Drs. Richard E. Pratt and Victor J. Dzau.
