Minerva Garcia-Barrio, Ph.D. is a Research Instructor in the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Master's in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1985 and her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Slamanca, Spain in 1995. She conducted her postdoctoral research as a Fogarty Fellow at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Maryland, USA from 1995 through 2000 before joining the CVRI faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine.
