The Dr. Lonnie E. Mitchell Behavioral Health Policy Academy was sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS). The Academy provided students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities the opportunity to influence and determine decisions and actions related to substance abuse and mental health disorders.




OBJECTIVE
The focus of the Policy Academy was on developing a workforce that can address the behavioral health needs of the American public
