Medical Student Clerkship
General Information
Requirements

Students must have successfully completed the 2nd year of the Morehouse School of Medicine curriculum for medical students and passed the USMLE Step I Exam before they can enter the third-year clerkship training.

We accept only those students who:

  • are enrolled in a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
  • have completed their Core Clinical Clerkships prior to participation in the CWRU Visiting Clerkship program.
  • are in good standing at their home school.
  • have their school's approval to participate in the desired elective.
  • have satisfied the required immunizations.

 

Sub Intership in Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Labor and Delivery Subinternship is an intensive four-week rotation on the inpatient OB/GYN service. The student is required to take call similar to that of any intern on the MSM OB/GYN service and will participate in all departmental activities and didactics. A formal oral presentation on an OB/GYN topic is required at the completion of the rotation. Enrollment in this elective is subject to availability.

 

Outpatient Obstetrics and Gynecology

A four-week out patient rotation is available through the Grady clinics as well as the private practice sites of the Morehouse Medical Associates. Call is not required on this elective. A formal oral presentation on an OB/GYN topic is required at the completion of this rotation. Enrollment in this elective is subject to availability.
