The Morehouse School of Medicine’s alumni are among our most valuable assets. They are our ambassadors to the communities beyond our institution. Increasingly, our alumni are among the institution’s most consistent participants in providing financial support as we “Prepare Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Health Care.” In the recent 30th Anniversary Campaign, 34 percent of our alumni made gifts, setting a new record for Morehouse School of Medicine alumni participation.
In 2006-2007, the Morehouse School of Medicine launched a $500,000 campaign to raise unrestricted gifts to support student scholarships, facility improvements, technology enhancements, and library upgrades. To reach this goal, we need the support of the institution’s alumni. Your gift to the Annual Fund at any level will help ensure that students have the resources needed to make a contribution in their chosen field.
The Morehouse School of Medicine National Alumni Association is providing leadership to communicate the importance of the unrestricted Annual Fund Campaign and of alumni participation in this vital fund raising initiative.
As part of the unrestricted annual giving campaign, we are introducing the Hugh M. Gloster Society. The Gloster Society recognizes individual unrestricted gifts of $1,000, $3,000, and $5,000 to the Morehouse School of Medicine. Alumni especially are invited to support this Society. Individual donors who make an unrestricted gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund between July 1, 2006, and December 31, 2007, become charter members of this Society. Remember, you must renew your gift annually at $1,000 or more to remain a member of this Society.
