James H. McCrory, M.D., F.A.A.P., P.C.C.M

Dr. McCrory joined the Department in July, 2001 as Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. He received his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his Residency training at Jacksonville Hospital ‘s Graduate Medical Education Program where he also completed a fellowship in Pediatrics Critical Care.

Dr. McCrory is Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatrics Critical Care, and is Unit Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital. He is one of the early developers of the Pediatrics Advance Life Support (PALS) course, which is now mandated nationally for hospital credentialing for Pediatricians.
