Yolanda Hill Wimberly, MD, MSc

Dr. Wimberly joined the Department in the summer of 2002 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and is a graduate of Meharry Medical College. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at Northwestern University, Children’s Memorial Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. In addition, she completed a 3-year fellowship in adolescent medicine at Cincinnati

Children’s Medical Center and earned her Masters of Science in Epidemiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in Epidemiology, Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Wimberly is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She achieved board certification in Adolescent Medicine in 2003. Dr. Wimberly is an award-winning teacher, practitioner, and researcher with a particular interest in Sexually Transmitted Diseases, reproductive health, and human sexuality.
