Research Interests

Recent work in our laboratory is focused on defining the neuroendocrine mechanisms governing pubertal development in primates. We are particularly interested in the relationship between somatic maturation and pubertal development and the potential role of somatic signals in triggering the initiation of puberty.

We are also investigating the potential role of thyroid hormone in the process of CNS remodeling that is essential for driving pubertal changes in the pattern of GnRH secretion in primates.
