Daniel Blumenthal, MD, MPH, Principal Investigator, is Chairman of the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine. He is responsible for overseeing the entire project and working with the Center Director to make sure the achievement of the Center's goals and objectives are met.

Elleen Yancey
, PhD, Center Director, is a psychologist and behavioral scientist with experience directing research and demonstration projects in the areas of substance abuse, HIV, and other areas. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine.

CO-PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS
David Satcher, MD, PhD, Co-Principal Investigator, is the Interim President of Morehouse School of Medicine. He served as the 16th Surgeon General of the United States.

Marion Howard
, PhD, Co-Principal Investigator, is the Director of Adolescent Health Services in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics as well as the Director of the Jane Fonda Center at the Emory University School of Medicine.

CO-INVESTIGATORS
Stuart Brown, MD, Co-Investigator, is the Acting Director of the Georgia Division of Public Health.

Daphne Byrd
, MEd, Co-Investigator, is the Director of the Southeastern Primary Care Consortium/Atlanta AHEC, Inc. Her organization serves as an umbrella for a number of community groups.

Michael Eriksen
, ScD - Director of Institute of Publiic Health at Georgia State University

Steven Katkowski
, MD, MPH, Co-Investigator, is the Director of the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness.

ASSISTANT DIRECTORS
Richard Bright, MDiv, MEd, Assistant Director for Administration is the Coordinator for Environmental Projects and an Instructor in the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine. He assists in directing the Center and coordinating environmental health projects.

Lee Caplan
, MD, PhD, MPH, Assistant Director for Research is a Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Clinician and Scientist. He serves as the Project Director for the CDC PRC Special Interest Project: Cancer and Prevention Control Research Network. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine.

David Collins
, Assistant Director for Community Development is responsible for community liaison and development.

Lisa Goodin, MBA, Assistant Director for Training and Communication Dissemination is responsible for the development, implementation, and dissemination of effective culturally appropriate health research.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Naeema Gilyard, MSHA, Senior Department Administrator, ensures compliance with the terms and conditions of funding. She monitors contracts and optimizes the allocation and use of resources.

Imani Lewis, BA, Program Coordinator, assists in the coordination and implementation of administrative support functions of the PRC.

Eric G. Dennis
, Administrative Assistant, is responsible for general office functions and communications. He serves as the point of contact with The Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Information Technology.
