Comprehensive Student Advising and Support
The MSMS program is dedicated to the success of our students. Upon matriculation into the program, students are assigned an academic advisor and a Big Sib. Faculty members serve as advisors to our students to provide them with support in applying to medical school, preparing for exam, preparing for interviews, and to serve as listening ears when needed. First year students are assigned a Big Sib from the year 2 class. Big Sibs help their incoming Lil Sibs become situated in a new environment, provide advice on studying for courses, the MCAT exam, and are critical in providing our students with a supportive, family-like atmosphere. Students at our institution are also provided with educational and tutoring support through the Office of Student Learning and Educational Resources. Additionally, we understand the rigor that comes with graduate school and offer our students mental support through the Office of Counseling.
