OB/GYN Curriculum
The OB/GYN Residency Program provides residents with training experience in caring for every aspect of women’s health. Program residents learn to care for women with special needs and for the underserved. We are committed to providing excellent care to all women.
PGY 1 Residents
Introduction to Obstetrics and Gynecology with early exposure to High Risk Obstetric Care, Family Planning and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. They also have dedicated ultrasound and research rotations and exposure to Emergency Medicine.
PGY 2 Residents
Continued training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Research.
PGY 3 Residents
Program residents obtain more experience with the management of complex cases in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrine & Infertility, and Urogynecology. Third year residents are expected to supervise junior residents and medical students.
PGY 4 Residents
Program residents in their fourth year of training, Chief Residents, are expected to perform at an advanced level in the areas of General Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology. They have a dedicated Elective rotation (of their choosing) as well as a final Research rotation. The resident will also undertake an administrative and supervisory role..
