As a native Atlantan, and Morehouse College grad with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Shawn Walton's goal is to educate and connect constituents within, and surrounding the rich Historic Westside to viable, and sustainable resources. Engaging and informing all through service, planning, projects,the arts, grassroot, and non-profit organizations, as well as city developmental and governing agencies have been a vast part of his documented vocation. His future plans include working on my dissertation at Harvard's School of Education where I will focused on the agencies needed to created a sustainable community within a 3 mile radius of a Title I educational institution, and to further increase Wecycle Atlanta's social, and financial bottom line as a social enterprise to create jobs, and promote our W.H.E.E.L.S. (Work Ethic. Health. Economic. Environment. Leadership. Sustainability) model.
