Sandy Gordon

Sandy Gordon has been leading organizational design and change management initiatives for more than 20 years at two of the most recognized global brands, Amazon and Delta Air Lines.

At Amazon, Sandy is Vice President of Employee Experience and Relations for Global Operations, leading the charge in refining employee engagement initiatives and ensuring a supportive environment for the company’s 1.3 million-strong operations workforce worldwide. Her focus is on crafting strategies, fortifying policies, and fostering partnerships to cultivate an inclusive and thriving work environment for all Amazonians.

Sandy began her career in the airline industry as a flight attendant and retired as the Senior Vice President of Domestic Airport Operations, overseeing daily operations and customer service delivery in 224 U.S. airports.

Over the course of her career, she has managed Merger and Acquisition integrations and corporate restructurings, elevated quality standards, improved Net Promotor Scores, ensured regulatory compliance, and championed Diversity Equity and Inclusion goals during some of the most challenging industry/economic disruptions in the past few decades, including the global pandemic, The Great Recession, and 9/11. She leverages her extensive operations background in complex, multi-site environments to fuel revenue growth, business process optimization, and HR best-practices informed by data, measurable Key Performance Indicators, and rigorous accountability goals.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Hampton University. She serves as a Trustee on the Agnes Scott College Board, and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In her spare time Sandy can be found cheering on the Atlanta Falcons during football season, and in the off-season, she enjoys traveling to any destination with sun and sand.
